Asus and Corsair only build?

Guest Console Peasant

Has anyone ever done a build with only Asus and Corsair parts? I feel like id I had enough money that's what I would do, because I like both brands

Please post if you know of any, or of another build that only uses 2 brands (Except for CPU, that's the only exeption)

Lets see...

Corsair Case, Asus MOBO, Corsair RAM, Corsair CPU Cooler, Corsair SSDs, Asus GPU, Corsair PSU, Corsair fans.

I'd say it would work.

Most of mine is Corsair and ASUS, Its not that hard, especially if you want a red/black build then Asus/ROG and Corsair are great choices.

Asus and Corsair have expanded their product lines quite a bit over the last few years and I'm sure they will continue to as well, meaning it will be even easier to build Corsair/Asus builds

CORSAIR RIPPER: AMD 3970X - 3080TI & 2080TI - 64GB Ram - 2.5TB NVME SSD's - 35" G-Sync 120hz 1440P
MFB (Mining/Folding/Boinc): AMD 1600 - 3080 & 1080Ti - 16GB Ram - 240GB SSD
Dell OPTIPLEX:  Intel i5 6500 - 8GB Ram - 256GB SSD

Neither give you the best parts for the money.

Corsair and Asus only (aside from Intel CPU)

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($135.49 @ Newegg)
Storage: Corsair Force LS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($104.99 @ Newegg)

Compared to pretty much the same build, but using parts from a variety of brands for the best bang for your buck (none of which are Asus or Corsair, interestingly enough)

Memory: Team Elite Plus 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ ARC 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($69.99 @ Newegg)

Over $200 savings. A fifth of your build cost wasted on brand loyalty alone. This is why I don't buy Corsair stuff -.-

I undestand, but you did use a different CPU cooler, corsair one was water cooling.

Besides from that, it is a bit more expensive, but i'd still do it lol

H55 actually performs slightly worse then 212 EVO btw... Just cause it's water cooling doesn't mean it's best

I'm sure if corsair made motherboards they'd find a way of adding corsair-link to it, and rgb leds all over the place xD

By the way I don't just mean brand name if I was to do this i'd want it to look good, probably matching the ROG theme, with black corsair to add to it
