I'm obviously not thinking about purchasing this type of computer but what would you guys put together if you had 10 grand to splash out on a pc?

Depends on the usage. If I had $10K to spend right now on a PC, I would probably use half of it and not spend the rest on the PC because there is no point for what I'd use it for.

Personally I would never spend that much ever on a PC, a 5k rig would be sufficient enough for the little stuff I do. 

 

It would be along the lines of 3-4 Titan Xs or 390Xs with a dual 2011 board with two high end i7s in a full Water cooling loop. I'd also probably spend 1k in SSDs for OS and programs. And a few more drives for cache and rendering disks.

Like Oshino said, I'd spend way less on a system (like total max 5k with monitor&periferals) and use the rest of the money on something else. Unless you need the hardware for some serious professional stuff, there is no excuse for spending more.

I will reserve 5k of my savings for a super computer in 3 years but 10k damn, I guess I would buy 2 ha ha.

Probably make a beast air-cooled machine with set budget of about 5k then save the rest for myself
