My sister and brother in law have been having issues with their home Wi-Fi on their phones. It works fine on my Wi-Fi but sometimes certain sites don’t load on there’s. I took my router over today just to troubleshoot the issue. It seemed to fix the issue.

What I found is they are using a Netgear Wireless N 150. The fact is they have a PS3, Dish network Hopper and a Sono’s media bridge hooked up wired. As well as a desktop which is seldom used, laptop, several tablets and some smart TV’s in the house. I would like to mention they don’t get good coverage over there house. Because the router is not in a good location. It’s behind the TV with the modem. I might see if they can mount it to the wall maybe that will give them better coverage.

I started looking at routers and I was thinking a higher end N or a low to mid-range AC router would do it. Issue is, they are not exactly rich, so I got about 100 bucks or so to work with. I was looking for some recommendations.

I see this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704234

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

The Acher C7 AC1750 would be the best choice in my opinion. Asus is also good, but the TP-Link did offer a higher data rate and it's a higher end model. Just make sure to optimize the Wireless connection. I'm guessing there's a lot of "noise" surrounding them. Never use Auto Channel on routers, they just shuffle the 1,6,11 channels.

Im going to see what they want to do. I think this would be the best decision for them. As far as noise there is maybe 1 wireless network in range of there house and it drops out intermittently. Most of the issue is they have there router in one side of there house. Where I have mine in the center ish part of the house up on top of a grandfather clock.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
