I am working on a couple of part lists for a GAMING PC for a buddy and I would like to give him the option of Intel or AMD.  I pretty much have the Intel build list set.  Just looking at the AMD side and looking for experiences with CPUs and/or APUs.  Wondering what would be a good option for him.  I currently have the A10-7850K in the part list.  He is looking for entry level with a small budget (500-600 USD).  Any thoughts on AMD processors would be greatly appreciated.  Again we are all set on the Intel side just looking for AMD here.

Thank you in advance...

Dont bother, AMDs current CPUs even the FX series are not as good for gaming and get beaten by an i3 or basic i5

An i5-4440 if you're on a budget.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

None. I can make you a build with Intel that is much better rather than amd.

The Intel stuff is just so much more expensive.  It's a tight budget.

This i3 is a better choice than any AMD CPU.

You don't need aftermarket cooler on an i3. The stock one will do just fine.

Get at least a 270x for the GPU.

The Athlon 860k and FX 6300 is the best AMD cpus for gaming,

But getting a intel cpu is a better choice in that price-range. a G3258 and going overkill on the GPU and later down the road upgrade to a i5 is a better choice.

If you "REALLY" need AMD nothing can beat an 8350 with a decent OC for the price (for AMD that is)

Just make sure to get a good board

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

No neither of those are bad options would he benefit for more than one stick of RAM?

There is minute performance gain with dual channel over a single stick. This mobo also has 2 ram slots, so by going with 1 stick he can always upgrade to 16gbs later down the road.

Dual channel vs single stick is not noticable.

For a tight budget the Athlon 860k is good. Don't bother with FX or APUs for gaming.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
