How much do fans help?

I have a CM K350 ATM which isn't very expandable in terms of fan mounts and expandability, so i'm buying a Define S case which will be my next upgrade soon, I don't have that many fans in my system so i'm wandering how usefull will by fans I will buy? I would run them pretty high RPM because I use closed back headphones

If I had 1 bottom mounted, 1 back mounted, and 3 front mounted fans all at high rpm how many degrees C will it be cooler and how much will it help? I ask because so far the only time i've overheated is during a GTA 5 session (which I have CPU issues with anyway, so not my fault) where I hit 90 and blue screened but I was overclocked to 4.5 aswell.

Remember I use a hyper 212 so it already has one fan

Hard to say exactly how much it'll help since everyone's ambient temperature and parts and such are slightly different, but it would almost certainly lower your temperatures a bit. Only way to say for sure would be to test it out. Having your fans run at high RPMs will shorten their lifespan, and there's a point of diminishing return where turning them up really won't improve cooling anymore. It's best to tweak your fans and see how far you can push them while maximizing their lifespan and cooling potential.

Well with a healthy RPM for the fans, will it even make a 5 degrees C difference on GPU or CPU,  not like I have a problem turning my fans down but I dont need to

5c at best, 2-3 c is normal with good fans vs horrible ones, main reason is less noise if replacing fans.

If you're not overclocking (looking at your sig specs) having a ton of fans likely wont do much.

1 or 2 intakes and 1 exhaust should be more than enough.

Even with a single intake and exhaust you should not be hitting 90c at stock clock speeds with your CPU and a 212 evo unless you completely block all your vents.

I'd remount the 212 evo in case there is an issue with the thermal paste or it was not mounted quite right.

Hit 4,5 a week ago, don't know how much the fans will help the temps.

It would help to list your specs.

in sig mr. moderator

How is your current cooling configured and what are your temps?

It's not that great at the moment, got a small case with hard drives facing the front, I have a picture on my steam if you're interested:

One Hyper 212 vertically mounted, and the only other fan is the intake at the front, near the HDD's

That's why I wanna get a Define s or R5. (It comes with fans anyway)

Temps: Idle ~50, load ~60-70

I thought you mentioned that your temps went up to 90c and encountered BSOD's?

With your hardware one or two intake and one exhaust should be fine, even with low rpm. I don't think you will benefit in any way from having more than that.

So I would go with the included fans only...

Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB DDR4, GTX 3070Ti, Acer Predator x34

InWin 901

When I flick the fan switch on my case from mid to high my temps on my gpu go down 2-3 degree's, then if I ramp the fans up on my H100i to max I'll loose another 1-2 degree on my gpu and about 3 degrees on my cpu.  Not much of a difference at all.
