Is this a balanced build?

Nohemi

Looks good, and balanced. I assume the 750W PSU is for Xfire in the future?

Yes, it's a fine build. And nah, you're fine with 750w. Gives you more headroom for overclocking.

Crossfiring two 290s with a 750w PSU isn't really that safe.

it's good you can keep the 750w if your overclocking/x fire but you can probably spend less on psu to save money. xfx 550w is on sale which is a really good psu but it's a rebate

That build for those games? you could build a PC for significantly less and get 60+ FPS on Ultra. That build is good though :)

Even though it's seasonic, 550w barely cuts it if OP wants to OC.

why would they want to OC if they're playing those types of games...just saying..

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2DTMxrit's $200 less. It's still overkill for those games.

If OP didn't want to OC he wouldn't buy a 4690K. And the 290 overclocks really well.

Buying a less powerful PSU would just be money thrown to the bin.

there's a chance OP heard that it was the best CPU to get/saw that it was the standard in most gaming rigs. Heck, they probably don't even know what overclocking is......but whatever..on topic...

I personally think locked i5 + b85 chipset mobo would do the trick. and OP can still get 750w psu or even a better quality one

That's actually pretty balanced. Atleast you're not going i5 + $100+ cpu cooler, the cooler should not cost half the price of your cpu...unless you're already at the highest point.

I am going to use this build for mine craft csgo and h1z1. This is my setup http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6hpHjX. Should I get a lower wattage psi?

Your original build is actually really solid, I just wanted to provide an alternative. I changed the MoBo, the z97 Anniversary is a solid MoBo. Changed the RAM to a lower latency set, but kept the color scheme. Changed the SSD to one that is a bit faster. Changed from a 290 to a 290x. Changed the PSU to a solid Gold Certified one. Changed the monitor to one that I personally own, which is very solid. Saved you some cash on the OS. And booted the optical drive per Section: It's 2015. Rule: You do not need one. ;)

Happy building.

You can get the Antec High current Pro Platinum 750W for around the same price after rebate. It is a much better power supply. The Rosewill Photon is pretty average.
