It eventually will, I pretty much guarantee it

 

I mean changing from Magsafe to USB C on a macbook is.. well probably the biggest change apple has ever done and renders all previous laptop chargers utterly useless 

 

That's true, but we'll have to see whether Apple includes USB C on any of their other laptops for charging. And not to downplay the importance of the Mac in Apple's product lineup, but changing a charger in the macbook is arguably less important than the iphone, since the number of people who have ipads, ipods, and iphone is way higher than the number of macs.
