How stable is the Windows 10 preview

Got a little too much free time today, thinking about trying out the Windows 10 tech preview, how stable is it and what are your experiences with it thus far? Should I just not?

I've had Windows 10 TP installed on my Surface Pro 3 (non-primary device) since it came out and have had no issues so far. I've also got Windows 10 TP on my Nokia Lumia phone as well - same thing :)

It's pretty stable, but tbh there is nothing wrong with Windows 8.1

Yeah I know win 8.1 is fine but I just want that clean os feeling I haven't got in a long time and the win10 tech preview seemed compelling.

For standard uses it should be fine but if you are wanting to gaming on the PC, then I would wait. I would imagine there are some compatibility problems with an unreleased OS.

Be aware that the preview licenses will run out, and stop booting completely...

Thank you for the insight everyone, I think I'm going to stick with win8.1 for the time being.
