I'm very new to building and this is my first build. I want to know if this is reliable for what I'm going to do (Mainly gaming)

I'm on a budget of around $600 without the OS

I have a few questions.

I've done a little searching to find these parts, and i would like to know if there were any better, more efficent deals.

Is there a chance for bottlenecks? I've researched bottlenecks and I know they can be pretty bad so i would like to know if there were any obvious bottlenecks.

Welcome to the forum :)
techguru's build is pretty spot on. The 750 is a pretty horrid card to be honest, there are much better choices.

Do you have income? If so, I'd wait another week or so, and get an SSD in there as well. They're an extra $60 but make the system a million times more responsive.

if you dont want SSD you may even be able to go for R9 290 GPU, though I recommend SSD more.

Wow, so many replies in 30 mins! I'm really liking the builds I'm being sent. Thanks alot! However I've heard that dual-core cpu's are becoming a lot more worse for gaming than quad cores are. Which is why im not so sure about techguru's build. But I'm probably misinformed or somthing.

Werecats build wins my vote. Save up a little extra maybe and get an r9 290 and an SSD. But like he said SSD>R9 290.

for the next while..the i3 will be fine

and in 2-3 years...you could easily put a i5 in there

but for right now..you want the most gpu you can afford

and don't skimp on some of the other parts cause you want a slightly faster cpu....

werecats build is pretty meh cause he really skimped out on the other parts

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile

Note:  When picking a Haswell Refresh CPU, be sure you have a compatible motherboard.  Not all 1150 sockets will work out-of-the-box.  H81, B85, H87, and Z87 motherboards have to have their bios' revised before they can recognize Haswell Refresh CPUs.  For example, i5 4450/4460 are Haswell Refreshes, the i5 4440 is a Haswell.

Either buy a H97 or Z97 motherboard for a Refresh CPU, or check with the retailer to ensure the bios for any particular board is updated to Haswell Refresh specifications.

The B85 motherboard below is Rev.1.0 (revised) when you buy it from Newegg.  It has been updated to accept the newer CPUs.  You can find the specs for the revision on the Gigabyte website:

Don't get a cheapy EVGA "B" 500W or Corsair CX PSU. Spend a bit more and get this - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0550v1

or for less, a more powerful "B" http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10600kr

550W, fully modular, 80+ Gold, Seasonic OEM, 5 year warranty for the EVGA, and the B is HEC OEM so not the best but better than the Corsair CX

i5 4670k - Z87X-UD3H - EVGA GTX 670 Sig 2 - Samsung 840 Evo 250GB - 8GB Avexir Core White 1600Mhz - Corsair 750D w/ RGB LED Mod & Remote Control - 2x SP120 - 3x Enermax Cluster - 2TB Seagate SSHD - Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 - SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W

Oh, my bad. I accidentally entered a space at the end for the link. It should be fixed now.
