Thoughts on Generic Mice?

Jack.EXE

My mouse broke the other day, and I went on amazon and bought myself a generic brand (e-3lue) wireless gaming mouse, as it looked comfortable and appeared to suit my needs.

Havent gotten it yet, only ordered it yesterday, but I've been using generic brands for years.

I think they're great, but want to hear your thoughts.

I need buttons that a generic mouse can't provide.

I like my Naga... everything in my applications bound to those keys, it's wonderful. For most people, generics are just fine though.

The projects never end in my line of work.

"generic" mice are great for cheap solutions to most kinds of games.  Theyre especially good if you prefer a controller while gaming.

I like my deathadder for its accuracy as I'm a big  FPS and RTS player.  More expensive mice are usually that way for their features that cater to specific audiences.

Haven't found the ergonomics I like in a generic mouse yet. The G700/G700s fits perfectly for me. They also don't have as many of the macro buttons I like to have.

More accurate than me and has two buttons and a scroll wheel. I'm happy with it.

Only "generic" mouse I like is the WMO. Others for gaming are a no. My mouse, an M500 (not much of a gamer) has a laser sensor and I suppose could be considered "generic" as it's fairly cheap.

Nearly all of those E-3lue mice and similar Brands are using Office Sensor´s in their mice, mostly the A5050 but also SPCP 168A, PAW3606DL, PAW3309 and other Crap.

What that means is that you are basically paying for a pimped out office mouse which is offered for ~3$ in this kind of configuration by most factories.

I used numerous mice, I think the Logitech M100/B110 is nice, not ideal for gaming, but not terrible. However, my experiences with the Logitech M500 was terrible as the sensor was plain bad, even though the ergonomic shape was great.

However, I can't speak for cheap gaming mouse, since I never used them.
