Ill get opu withiut k. And also wont do oc.

Whsts the diffrence beetween z87 and h97?

also lets say: u wont be doing oc and sli, what would u choose?

If you don't need SLI or want to OC, then H97 all the way. Its a great balanced chipset and comes loaded for devils canyon CPUs. Z87 boards need a BIOS flash to support the newer Haswell refresh chips.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

bios is not a problem. The store i buy it from will build and update evrything. So the question is the h97 worth it ?what would be the diffr3nce beetweem h97 snd z87?

why is be pointless? What is the diffrence

Its not "pointless". The only difference between Z87 and Z97 is broadwell ready and some newer features like M.2 support.

The H97 has those same advantages. Plus from what I have seen the 97 series is a little less prone to developing bad habits. Mind you my Z87-A has been happily churning away for a couple months now with no issues.

If you can get the H97 for the same price or a little less than the Z87, go for it.
