Killer usb drive

I remember hearing something a while ago about somone inventing a sub flash drive that surges your computer with power therefore breaking the computer. What was this and how did it work (this is for educational purposes only, no malicious use is intended)

you can overload and crash computers using .batch scripts that can overload the computer I use them at school to troll lol

Not exactly a flash drive, but a flash drive sized USB device that just ran a reverse current back through the ports. It was a popular story online for a long time about the killer USB, but there's not really a way to do it with a flash drive. Some research group though did make one similar attempting to replicate the story.

Search it up on google, My friend scripts them using basic microsft language kinda like HTML c++ python ect 

look up .batch codes

Yeah I saw a  story that took the power and charged capacitors then shot it back surging it killing the computer.
