Bad idea, even if you are kidding. I know a guy who said something like that on a forum and he got suspended by request of the police ;)

Meh, I find it even more fun to confuse those who think they know alot about tech, They dont even want to accept that they marely have touched the surface..

when someone like that ask me ebout something, Like "Have you heard about this GPU?" in a way they expect i dont know the answer, I answer with all of the specs and mention some benchmark scores.. Boom they are like "... How?"

Or when they say something about a game engine or game mechanic to me and i mention why it isnt that way in depth.

I don't talk about tech at school, mostly because the one that knows the most about tech in my class doesn't know more than the words "Video card" or "Processor". When we booted up our computers it showed the ASUS post screen, and he said that Intel was better.

My story:

Mkay, I'm in art class. Looking through celebrities to draw, when I see LTT In my favorites bar, calling to me. "Rex, click me, please! You have 13 notifications and 5 PMs waiting to be checked!"

I couldn't help myself. I clicked the shortcut and was directed straight to the homepage,  my favorite place on the internet. I check my notifications and PMs. 2 questions about part lists and what they should by. and 3 of the dankest memes I had ever seen. I was extremely glad I had chosen to check the forum. Until I got jammed into one of the tightest situations I have ever been in.

Connected to my classroom is the ITD classroom. The teacher in there likes to come into our classroom and check on our work. Even though he isn't teaching us. Quite annoying actually, he likes to make people feel self-conscious about themselves, just for his own enjoyment. Quite sick in my opinion. Anyway, this teacher walks into the classroom, seeking the enjoyment he finds in unhappiness. I sit away from the class, isolated almost. This makes me an easy target. I'm on the forum, replying to a request for feedback from one of the PMs I received when suddenly I see the teacher emerge from nowhere, and to make matters worse my art teacher is there to.

They first look at my work. I had actually done a really good job on my Kim Kardashian caricature. I was miles ahead of the class. At first they both seemed impressed, it was too late to close put of the forums though. They would see me do it.

Art teacher: "That looks really nice Rex, you can solid out those lines now." *walks away*

ITD Teacher: *Looks at my laptop with a look of disapproval*

ITD Teacher: "What are you looking at? Linus Tech Tips? Explain yourself."

At this moment, I knew I had to think fast. The art teacher had come back over to investigate the negative talk. I was trying to get back in the good books with him to. That's why I was isolated from the class. Because he put me there. I sat there looking at the ITD teacher with a stare of hate. I'm good at those, and he knew that I din't like him.

ITD Teacher: "So?"

This is when the stupid part comes up. I sort of panic so here is what I say.

Me: "Did you know that the Intel Core i7 4790K is one of the most popular CPUs with 4 powerful cores and hyper-threading? It also has amazing overclocking ability when paired with a Z97 chipset motherboard. It also has an amazing clock speed of 4.0Ghz and a turbo speed of 4.4Ghz?"

Now they were both staring at me as if I had just told them I enjoy killing puppies.(which I don't)

After a few seconds the art teacher and says "detention this break"

The other teacher actually got what I said.

ITD Teacher: "Hold on, answer this for me and I'll lift your detention"

Now came a series of questions that stretched my techie brain a bit. Keep in mind I had to answer these questions quickly.

"What's the clock speed of the i5 4690K?"
"3.5Ghz"

"Who makes the H100i?"\

"Corsair"

"Kraken x61?"

"NZXT"

"What socket do the 4690K, 4790K, and 4th gen pentium use?"

"LGA1150"

"Name all of Nvidia's 900 and Titan series cards"

"960, 970, 980, Titan Z, Titan, Titan Black, Titan X."

"Name all GPU brands"

"Asus, MSI, Palit, Gigabyte, XFX, Sapphire, and EVGA"

Next came a long stare.

"Correct, you no longer have detention, congratulations"

He never tormented anybody in my class again.

Not exactly a non-techie story but still worth sharing.
