Hey, I was wondering if anyone got a Dazzle (capture card) to work on a Windows 7 PC?
Or would I need to use a Windows XP/Vista VM to use it?

My dad wants to use it to get his VHS tapes to digital files.

-snip-

If it works with Vista then you could use a 32-bit version of Windows 7 (most likely). But I doubt you/your dad use 32-bit Windows. I think it will just be easier to use a VM or test it on Windows 7?!

EDIT

Here it says it is Windows 7 compatible: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/uk/products/dazzle/dvd-recorder-hd/

Even Windows 8?!!!

Hmm, that should work.. But not sure what to download from there, or should it work with no download? :(

Did you have to download some program to make it work or not?

Yes the drivers and capture software that you need but I used Sony vegas for that.

As long as you have the driver installed you can use almost any capture software.

@Minibois I think you might need Pinnacle Studios software (the guys who made it). However, this video boasts that you can do it without: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7reoGBO-IPY

But I think what @lani100 said you could just do that and use Sony Vegas for it, and if you don't have it you could "totally buy it" or just use a trial.
