When the temps begin to get worse than normal, i.e. 10+ degrees higher than when first installed.

I was just wondering how often I should be replacing my thermal compound on my cpu to maintain optimal temps ? My system is only a couple months old so I know there's no need this early but I'd like to know what would be a good time to change it. Like every year or two years ?

18-24 months IMO

Good quality TIM, I wouldn't worry about it mate. I've had TIM that has been over 3 years old and never been an issue.
