Woah duuuude, 900MHz...

Go to solution Solved by Mo5,

900*2=1800. Memory speed needs to be doubled (DOUBLE DATA RATE - DDR)

Hello,

I have been doing some overclocking on my AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition recently, and it came to my attention whilst using AMD OverDrive that my RAM was only

running at 900MHz when it is supposed to be clocked at 1866MHz (the BIOS reports that it isrunning at 1866MHz). I'm not sure whether the RAM is reporting to be 1866MHz but is really 900MHz or the other way around. Perhaps I'm unfamiliar with the data provided in OverDrive, as it simply comes under "clock/voltage". Please help!

Thanks.

P.s. The image is the memory clock in AMD OverDrive.

Memory frequency is the rated clock speed divided by two if it's displayed 'wrong'.

Multiple the memory frequency value by two, to get the effective speed.

933*2 = 1866

The clockspeed is 4200MHz, I was making a 4/20 joke with my comment (you know, the whole marijuana culture thing?)
