You can get a 7200RPM 1TB WD Blue for around $55 USD or a 7200RPM 1TB Seagate Barracude for $50 USD, both are good choices, whichever company you prefer...

(I live in Canada so its like $60 here)

Preferrably 500gb-1tb

Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB - It goes on sale on Newegg for under $40, so I'd wait a little bit. But if you can't wait then I'd recommend going on craigslist or ebay, although quality will probably not be up to par.
