[THIS TOPIC DOES NOT APPLY TO THOSE WHO DO NOT CELEBRATE ANZAC DAY]

 

So tomorrow it's ANZAC day, a day where we Aussies remember those who died for our country. If you're not Australian you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, all good though :)

 

It's basically the only thing on TV right now. Every show, ad, or movie on the TV right now is somehow related to ANZAC day. Quite annoying to be honest.

How do you feel about ANZAC day? What are you going to be doing on ANZAC day?

 

Please don't leave unnecessary comments saying "What's ANZAC day" or "I don't celebrate ANZAC day cuz I'm American get rekt skrublord"

What is Anzac Day?

Anzac Day – 25 April – is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
 
What does ANZAC stand for?
ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as Anzacs, and the pride they took in that name endures to this day.

For non australians. So the "What is ANZAC day" question doesn't need to be asked

I will watch the afternoon bit for a little while.

Oh and will spend the day getting mad about "WHAT FITTINGS GO WITH TUBINGS ARGH"

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

There is loads of talk about them over-doing it this year (Spend 75Mil GBP vs 50 mil by the UK for the WWI comemorations, can't remember AUS or USD numbers) and that it's EVERYWHERE (as said, all over tv, radio and so on).. Overhype is as bad as under-promoting it IMO as people just get bored with it or forget what it's really about somewhat (eg x-mass / halloween).

trying to convince a bunch of cadets to march professionally instead of looking like a bunch of 10 year olds that most of them are.

and also making fun of the air force cadets (I'm part of the Australian air league)

300 million?????? Wow, that money could go towards something so much more worth it. Like cancer or some other disease.
