So i have two gtx 980s but my motherboard and Nvida drivers are only detecting one. device manager is giving me error code 43. i have tried everything swapping pci lanes , re installing driver both cards work fine on there own and i really don't want to re install windows.

Have you tried one card in BOTH pcie slots? If either one of them doesn't work it's probably a motherboard issue.

 

By the way @UpsetPeck please follow your topics yes i moved them to the bottom pci lanes and it still doesnt work

i tried 3 diffrent sli bridges , and yes i uninstalled them first.

Upsetpack it's most likely a motherboard issue. Try resetting CMOS by pulling out the battery for a minute or so, if it doesn't work you should contact Gigabyte for RMA.
