Integrated graphics vs dedicated card

Go to solution Solved by Blackie Sheen,

Is it called dual graphics when you use iGPU and a dedicated GPU?

Yes

So my question is Would running an ($140)AMD A10-7850k Kaveri 12 core, 3.7GHz socket FM2+ 95w with integrated graphics(4 cpu cores, 8 gpu cores) in sli(if thats even possible) with a ($100) sapphire radeon R7 260x 2gb card.

Additional information: Basically were this is coming from is my buddy and i are building a budget gaming pc for a friend with a budget of around $600 with some wiggle room. My buddy is selling a motherboard with the kavari chip set, 8g of ddr3 and a case for a total of $150. Leaving $450 for the rest. Now the kaveri chip with the lower end graphics card was his suggestion while i feel it would be better to buy a stronger graphics card say a 960 or 280x? rather than go for the integrated graphics. What do you guys think?  thanks for the info as always.

It would be better to by a dedicated card

Recently I build something similar for my friend. We had very tight budget, so we decided to drop everything we can on GPU. We went with the cheapest acceptable CPU (FX 6300) and rest of money went to 270X. I would suggest you doing something similar. There is no point on spending money for APU, if you are planning to get dedicated card. Just because crossfire between APU and GPU is doable, it sounds like a big hasle with very uncertain benefits.

I am sorry for my english.
