best gtx 970?

Upgrading my GPU soon. Looking for one under $500 what is the best one? I don't care much for noise. I would like a backplat (its not the end of the world if it doesn't have one). Coolest one. Highest clockspeeds and something that over clocks quite well.

Depends if you want a 970 or 980 ; the stock GTX 980 has all of your caracteristics .

Or you can go GTX 970 , then the windforce seems the best .

 

If you really wish to go cheaper , a R9 290x from asus or other could be good .

I'll probably get shit from someone for saying this since you said in the title you wanted 970s recommendations, but an MSI Lightning R9 290X seems to fit the bill for every one of your requirements.
