What features are there?

Things like voltage checkpoints and advanced overclocking stuff. If you were going to use the features, you'd probably know about them really.

It's not worth it, there's zero performance increase and it just looks a bit cleaner with the armour.

I/O is different as well. No video out on the Formula without a GPU (No video from cpu.)

What will you be using this for?

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Way overpriced, way overkill...i'd look for something cheaper from MSI or ASUS.

Well I kind of REALLY want the armor. And I will be overclocking as much as I can. I don't know much about the advance controlling and stuff.

Could I buy a shield off of ebay or something and then just put that on the other one?

It would be for my gaming build so I wouldn't use the video output on the motherboard.

This is all you need bro:

Yea I know what I could use. I just wanted to know why there is a price difference other than the heat shield. Because I really want it and I don't know if it would be worth it.

of course it's not ''worth it'' what do you think? 250$ for a motherboard?! even with all the cheap ugly platsic shitty armor on it would still be way overpriced.

Those garbage plastic armor attrocities will make history and will be something we will remember laughing around a good beer in a few years from now...it's rediculous...off course you don't need that!

It's purely aesthetic (the heat shield/armour). It's up to you if you want to pay that much for it. And it won't fit on the other board.

I don't know. Thats kind of why I am asking to see what else it has to offer over the other one.

For ~$150 you're gaining plastic, 2 USB 3.0 ports, and losing 2 SATA ports. Just look at the specs of each one, everything is tabulated for you.

$350 for Z97 is absolutely insane, but your money, your choice.

Game Box | 4690K | Z97i-Plus | G.Skill 2400MHz | x2 840 Evo | GTX 970 shorty | Corsair 250D modded with H105 | EVGA 650w B2 |

You gain more sata with it not losing them.
