Sapphire R9 270x 2GB @ stock clocks

Core i3 4130 @ 3.4Ghz

Artefacts are found when I turned on the slightest MSAA, and more artefacts when bump up higher MSAA, whats up with that?

probably running out of VRAM - you only have a 2gb card so its probably too much for the card to handle and store correctly

What settings are you running it?

I got 2GB 680s in SLI. They have 2GB effective and I run at Very High/Ultra everything. The game says that I'm using almost 6GB and I get WELL over 60FPS.

There is an issue with how the game understands SLI - for example if you have 1 x 2gb card it will say you are using 2gb of vram of 2gb - if you have 2 cards, it will say you are using 4gb etc - the game seems to double VRAM for multiple cards when it should be the same

That said, SLI 680s are way more powerful than a 270x,

I could be a sign of something else, but that would just be a guess

EDIT

@league_of_stoners apparently i just google it - MSAA does not work properly on the AMD cards currently - you are best to turn it off until this is fixed

I know that, but it's still only 2GB effective, regardless of what the game thinks, because that's how SLI works.

I even once had SLI disabled accidently (it disables after updating drivers), and the game ran great even on one card, and a 680 is only slightly faster than a 270X :)

yeah for 1080p those cards are fine - but as I say there are MSAA and other driver problems with AMD cards for GTA
