Loud ass heatsink

jdmilion

so my PC is kinda loud as fuck.

it is the beefier version of the stock intel cooler that comes with the g3258 pentium anniversary edition.

Is it normal for it to be kinda loud?

I don't really know how many dbs, "loud as fuck," is. But, from my knowledge of stock heatsinks, they are hot and loud. So, a bigger one may be a little cooler, but even louder.

Quote my post if you need me to respond.

Small fans whine loud, and stock coolers are pretty cheaply manufactured now

Buy an aftermarket heatsink

Mine wasn't that loud (slightly hot tho, since I OCd my G3258 to 4.2GHz on it). I ran mine at full speed 24/7 and it was not that bad.

I can't comment on stock heatsinks but maybe upgrade? An H80GT or anything from Noctua is good.

The G3258 doesn't come with the beefier stock cooler.

Are you sure the loud component is the cpu fan and not something else?
