Cables popping out of Power Supply

IcedEskimo

Hello fellow LTT members who are smarter than I,

I have a Corsair RM 750 in a Corsair 780T and am using the cables that come with it. I had wired all my cables before I installed the CPU cooler just now and I realised that my 24pin motherboard connector and 8 pin CPU connector had both popped out of the power supply. Is there something (like a click) that I should look for while connecting cables? I did lay the case down on the back panel and back up straight many times in the process of installing the H100i so maybe that's what caused it?

I just don't want this to happen in the middle of me using the computer

Thankfully,

Iced.

The 8 pin and 24 pin are coded to go only one way and clip in place. Did you have to force the cables?

no they didn't break or anything... This time when I put them back in the CPU cable clicked into place but not the Motherboard one although it is properly in there.
