cable modem and Gigabit router combo docsis 3.0

So I'm moving into my new place and will have TWC as my internet provider. I don't want to pay modem renting fee. Want to buy my own but also want it to be a modem and wireless router combo. I also would have to get one with 4 gigabit Ethernet ports for my desktops. Any one know of any good models that would fit my needs and be docsis 3.0? THANKS!

Don't invest into a all-in-one cable modem. At some point in time you could change your ISP, and maybe the ISP uses Fiber or something else, and your cool combo becomes useless.

Get a separate cable modem, and get a good WiFi router.

Modem:

And if you feel like spending money: http://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Certified-Comcast-XFINITY-CM500-100NAS/dp/B00R92CEVU/

Router:

Cheaper: http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Archer-C7-Wireless-1300Mbps/dp/B00BUSDVBQ/
