1. Budget & Location

Yes I have a budget of about 1400 dollars USD, United States

2. Aim.

Yes I am looking for a computer that can run minecraft at decent setting and have spotify open in the background as well as Team-speak and Skype, But I would also have it run Paint.net and Adobe Photoshop with no problem and I may get into CSGO.

3. Monitors

I would like to have at least 2 monitors. if I ran two monitions would i have to have 2 GPUs or something like that?. I would like 2 monitors because I quite often will be playing minecraft factions and then someone will say hey come watch my stream and I would like to be able to run minecraft and have a stream open and not have any drawbacks

4. Peripherals

I will need an OS and I am looking for a new keyboard and mouse and maybe even a mouse pad. Also I am scared about water cooling because i don't have the best track records for doing things when things need to be done but im tryin to change that so maybe make 2 list one for a quite air cooled and then the other one with liquid cooling?

5. Why are you upgrading?

Im using a laptop for school (Online school OP) and I want to build my first computer. I have seen all of the Awesome videos of what you can do with computers and I really want to get my hand wet so to speak.

I will need a Wireless card as well.

PARTS LIST ---------> http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mhTDNG

Ok so I am getting together a parts list and I picked everything and then I took a step back and said how am I going to connect my monitors(x2) to my pc. Well to be honest I have no idea and thats why i am here. I need to know if a MSI GeForce GTX 970 will be able to have  TWO monitors connected to it or if I am going to have to  buy 2 cards. Also what cable would be best? Like I said Im a newb who is looking to get my feet wet. My monitors that Im going to be getting are the BenQ GL2460HM . Also what stand or mounts are good for those monitors.

What kind of Photoshop work are you doing?

The system seems quite a bit overkill for Minecraft and the thermal paste is unnecessary as the cooler already comes with decent paste. Were you planning to sli?

  1. Change the CPU to this. It's the very same thing, but cheaper (and without the iGpu, but you wouldn't use those anyway). http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-cm8064601467202
  2. Your CPU cooler has no price? Wah--!?
  3. Don't worry about ports for the monitors. Just plug then into the GPU and it will work. But make sure you have the needed cables!

Overkill but nice just the same! doesn't leave much money for two nice monitors though. I would make the step down to i5 stick with the stock cooler and find a cheaper tower that way you can spend a bit more money on some nice monitors.

Depends on the brand. For the MSI, the layout is this:

Sir I know it may be overkill but I might get into some new games like cs:go and things like that and If you mean SLI as in 2 graphics cards then not unless I have to. as for the Photoshop I want to have a backup career in graphic design and stuff like that. So sorry if I did anything wrong with this post that was not my intention and I am truly sorry if I did do anything against the rules sir.

CSGO isn't that heavy either. What else were you were planning to play?

Can you give any info as to the scale of the projects you're working on?

You're not being a nuisance. I'm just asking questions to give more proper recommendations.

I'm guessing you're shooting for a particularly quiet system?

You're not braking any rules or being a nuisance this form is here for helping people with all computer problems. And I think you're maybe underestimating how nice the build you've presented here is it will easily play any new game on high settings and as far as photoshop and any graphic design type work it will brute through it all the i7 is pretty much if not the best processor you can get and the 970 is up there too. I would go for the asus strix version. If your worried about connections you can use the HDMI and one of the DVI ports to have dual 1080p res.

Sir I would like it to be as silent as possible. I just dont want to be gaming and talking on Teamspeak with my faction members and my pc be so loud that i cant hear them. Example my PS3 I am playing cod advanced warfare and I cant play without a headset on because it is so loud

Something like this should be plenty: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KqxNFT

I'd suggest not preemptively buying the aftermarket case fans or coolers before seeing how the stock fans are though.

Varies by model. The EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB FTW ACX 2.0 has 1xDisplayPort, 1xHDMI,  1xDVI-D dual link, and 1xDVI-I dual link outputs.

The future is unpredictable but there is nothing currently that suggests a major shift in hardware performance.

Sir I see that it has a i5 as the  CPU what is the difference between the i7 and the i5 and would throwing an i7 really boost performance?

The difference between the i5 and i7 is primarily hyperthreading which is useful for things that are reliant on many threads. For many gamest, the difference is little to nothing.

Please post your replies underneath and not within the quote in the future.
