On a scale of 1 to 10 what would you guys give an over all rating to the Asrock brand? I am looking to buy the Asrock X99 Extreme6 for my x99 build but not entirely sure.

Opinions and hands on experience with the motherboard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

They were a part of Asus, But started their own thing.

I look at them as Asus but cheaper.

Yup , exactly.

They're very good for their price. Better than Asus. However, Asus is higher-quality.

Depends on what you're going to do with it and what you expect from it.

Need the best of the best? Go with Asus.

Need something very good, but not that expensive? Go with Asrock.

There's also MSI and Gigabyte but eh...MSI had some problems with their mobos a while back (dunno about it now), and Gigabyte has a crappy BIOS/UEFI.

I have had a few Asrock mobos before and I currently have a Z87 Extreme4. I'm very pleased with it.

I personally have a x97 extreme 4 and love it. I would give it a 9/10 The features are nice, the heatsinks are beefy so everything satys cool, the uefi is easy to navigate. Plus, I've heard that the ASrock x99 boards are one of the best x99 boards out there so dont fear. Go for it

I have 2 ASRock Z77 Extreme4. They both work great and they haven't gone out on me. They are easy to overclock and their BIOS isn't bad. I believe that Asus owns them too. I would go with Asus though personally.

I like them myself, most of my ASRock experience is with LGA775 or FM2(+) so it's out of date but they're know to produce boards that match their price point with quality and usually above their price with features.
