yeah that almost broke me the other week when I was grabbing MAYA.

Turned out what I had to do was completely remove all autodesk stuff from the install drive then start the whole download process over fresh. Worked eventually. tbh by the end I was just mashing keys until something worked.

Plus shit Aussie download speeds.... torture.

 

they should just ad a p2p option.

Actually wonder what the outcome would be if one just torrented a version with a crack but used their student code instead.

yea, i downloaded the torrent 

deleted the crack and used my student key.

ive ended up doing that for all thier products last 2 years

 

i like thier install now system, when it works

Yeah most high schools do because they get it for free. I know my high school did.

 

It's also the easiest of the three to learn.

Yet another underwhelming "update" to 3DS Max. Barely any new features and will probably introduce a ton of new bugs to discover just like the past updates.

I use AutoCAD and solidworks at work but use Inventor at home. got to live the none student prices, 8000 for inventor.

I'm still sad they killed off XSI.  It's only a matter of time before they do the same to 3dsmax.

I can't remember, do you guys get to see the 2017 code name?  I believe it's part of the splash screen when you boot it up.

 

If so, you should see the picture I drew for it.  Unfortunately, it got turned down by my manager.

Awesome! I'm still stuck on 2014 at school, so while i still have to use that at school i'll stay on 2014 at home...
