I have a Samsung 840 EVO 250 gb SSD and when I am browsing the internet my SSD will hit 100% usage and freeze my computer (more often on some sites than others.) When I have task manager open it doesn't show anything actually using the drive, but it definitely shows that it hits 100% usage. Any suggestions on what to do?

Note: This only happens when in Chrome and sometimes in other internet browsers.

Note2: using windows 8.1 64bit.

The 840 evo line from had faulty drivers which caused them to find drive errors that weren't there and slow down performance. There's a performance restoration program you can download from samsung's website.

http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/global/html/ssd840evo/overview.html

1. Scroll down to close to the bottom of the page, download and install "Performance Restoration Software".

2. Backup your data (small chance if it goes wrong you could lose your data)

3. Run the program

That's the first thing I would try.
