In this price range OP can do better than Lenovo for gaming laptops. Most Lenovo laptops if not all If I remember correctly cap out at a GTX 860M. OP Could easily get a 970M in this price range.

Would like to note that this isn't necessarily a gaming laptop, just needs a GPU that isn't integrated, the 860M would do just fine.

Screen size doesn't matter as long as it is more than 13"

At least 8 GB of RAM

At least Intel I5

I recommend this laptop: '

http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8268s-clevo-p150sma-eta-march-p-6987.html?wconfigure=yes

Leave it as configured, or add 16GB of RAM, and a bigger SSD (240/250/256GB) and call it a day.

edit: DON'T FORGET TO ADD WINDOWS

Lenovo in general, especially their dual GPU Gaming laptop.

MSi Ghost (Pro) series (13/15/17)

XMG C504/C505 series which are customizable rebrands of the Gigabyte P35v2 and P35v3 series. The first has the 800 series Nvidia GPUs (860/870) while the latter has the newer 900 series ones (970/980).

Especially the C504 (v2) variant should be a lot cheaper because of it's newer brother coming out.

Mind that most of my knowledge relates to thin gaming laptops, as this is what I did my research on when buying mine. Because of this you're not always getting the best band for your buck spec-wise, seeing as some go for thinness over power.

There's also the Aorus brand, again from Gigabyte that has SLI and is also thin, but that's out of your price range, being over 2k$.

Second hand market has a lot of relatively powerful laptops for a low price. I would especially look at alienwares, as they often come dirt cheap, and sometimes even with warranty.

Just a general thought - With your budget, if you don't mind the laptop being... FAT, you can go way better specced laptop than some mentions. Asus ROG series come to mind.

Xotic has been mentioned a few times, I'd like to confirm it's good reputation.

What else is there.. Hmm...

.... where? Their business-class line... maybe. But consumer/gaming? No.

You've been linked a P150SM-A already, but in case it's a bit too expensive for you, you can get this model here as it starts cheaper and allows you to more freely add SSDs/warranty/etc.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday
