Quick Question..

Can I run GTA V on max/near max settings with my PC specs.

 

CPU: i5 4690k @ 3.5 Ghz (maybe oc'd if necessary)

MOBO: Gigabyte Z97X-SOC

GPU: Tri-X R9 290

RAM: 8GB 1333 DDR3

SSD: Kingstone 120GB SSD

COOLER: Hyper 212 Evo

PSU: 650W Antec EarthWatts Bronze

Windows: Windows 8.1 64Bit Retail

 

Please for the love of god no "why didn't you get a gtx 970 ect.".

The biggest bottleneck is the Aussie internet..

1080p? Probably yeah, your PC is very adequate, but it seems like GTA V is having some trouble with AMD GPUs.

Oh yeah, I forget to mention that I'm targeting the 60fps @ 1080p range. I've also heard about this problem with AMD GPU's but with the recent beta driver it seems to have been fixed... sorta.

The biggest bottleneck is the Aussie internet..

That can be very true, not sure.

The R9 290's performance is somewhere around the GTX 780's performance.

Only thing is some problems with AMD but at 1080p it could spread it legs.

EDIT: Btw, I'm not too sure what the 0.1% fps thing means ?

By the looks of things the r9 290 is not too far off the 970. But I may have to wait a week or two for better drivers to release :/
