Will an i3 4160 bottleneck a Gigabyte R9 280 by any chance? As in will my CPU restrict the GPU from reaching its full potential?

Thanks for the help :)

1080p, 60fps? Probably not; maybe in one or two odd games.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

I would actually disagree and say that he will achieve 1080p and 60 fps in most games ( on a mixture of high and ultra). The 280 with a good overclock is a very good card.

My FX-6300 usually doesn't even bottleneck my 970. You'll be fine with that combination

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)
