Hey guys!

I got a friend that wants to upgrade his computer, I just want to make sure that everything fits like a glove. Right now he got a

-gtx 580

-intel i5 2500k

-and a GA-Z68A-D3-B3

I just want to make sure that he won't bottleneck anything I saw that the motherboard do support PCI-e gen 3 and x16

The plan is to go and buy a gtx 980 from gigabyte. What are your thoughts about this? I don't see any problems at all, but I could have missed something

Best reguards

If it aint broken, Dont fix it!

Denmark it is

Intel+Nvidia= The solution

i'd overclock that CPU a bit, it's beginning to get weak compared to the gtx980.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

the i5 Sandybridge is still a strong CPU

OC it to 4GHz and you wont have issues

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

^^^ Overclock it if it has decent cooler, it's worth the time.

the i5 2500k is still a good Cpu Although Overclocking it might be a good idea. But I don't think you can notice any bottlenecks if your gaming at 1080p 60hz. above 60 frames I think there would really be Bottle-necking
