eh more heat... similar performance... not worth it.960 is 120 watt vs 190 watt for 285. Better to use the 960 in the sff build.

I know the 960 is faster but I didn't want to open the NVidia vs AMD can of worms if I didn't have to :P too much drama.

Nvidia/Intel builds have such low TDP's, that if he wanted, he could even get away with 350. 400 is just fine

yea this would work great for you. if you want to spend a couple extra bucks a 4460 might be a useful upgrade, even a 4690k maybe. Also if your feeling thrifty, you can get a VaporX 280X on ebay for about 180$.

I really like this build, but I would personally go with a 280x over a 960, unless you want to use CUDA features. If I'm not mistaken, the 280x has more raw computing power than the 960, but it is a little bit more expensive.

Doesnt fit the case and uses more power.

Plus I was going for a mini ITX form factor.

If you are willing to sacrifice form factor, you can get a little more power.

This B85 motherboard is Haswell Refresh ready if you buy from Newegg:

Oh, OK. The 960 is still a good card for a $650 build. There are a lot of good build guides already posted in this thread, so I'm not going to clutter it up with another one. Good luck!
