Hey all,

So I'm shopping for a graphics card right now and I can't make up my mind.

I was originally going to get a Titan X cause it's the fastest card out. However, I watched a couple of videos comparing it with the GTX980 and found that it's not that much better. I was expecting over 50% increase on performance while apparently it's only around 25~40%. Which is still good but considering the price I don't know if I should go for it.

Money is not an issue and I understand I gotta pay that flagship tax but is it really "worth" it?

I really want to buy a card right now and I am not willing to wait for the 390x or w.e I want you guys to help me out if I should go for a GTX980 instead.

I'm not very familiar with the date Nvidia and AMD release their new product line so will I be seeing a new gen card soon or the GTX980 will be fine for at least half a year or more.

I am also not willing to do any SLI or Crossfire unless you can convince me. :D

BTW, I'm planning to get a 1440p 144hz monitor which I will be gaming on. I would love to know some OC results as well.

The GTX Titan X offers the best performance of all single GPUs and has room for an upgrade. The R9 295X2 offers the best performance of a single card, but is in crossfire which could have driver issues and has power issues, there is also little/no room to upgrade given the poor scaling.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
