r9 270 though.  Yikes.  You'll probably have to turn the settings down.

FX-6300 4.2ghz/970 is just borderline perfect at 60fps1080p ultra settings, but this is a CPU limitation. about 50-55fps average when in densely populated towns in multiplayer. Around 65%-80% GPU usage any time when outdoors. If not in a dense city the FPS doesn't go below 60. With 2 extra cores which GTA V will *probably* utilize and a much bigger OC than my 6300 you should be okay CPU wise. Are you actually at 4.7ghz 1.375v? That's crazy! Is that the voltage the UEFI tells you or is that a software reading?

Bios shows that. I cant be on that because ppl said I will desttroy my mobo wich sucks - vrms are overheating. My cpu doesnt really go above 35 celsius. But I dont know much about mobos so I listened to them.

Why did amd bother to release a 270 and a 270x? I am on the normal one with 1130core and 1500 memory.

That is honestly AMAZING. But I don't believe it for a second :P most people have to go to 1.4v just for a 4.2ghz overclock! My CPU gets up to 45DC max on hyper 212 evo. 4.7ghz? HOLY CRAP! Yeah game runs well on FX 6300 and 70% of a 970 (LOL) but you'll run it great depending on what settings you use. Will def be better than the consoles with a 270

well pushing beyond 4.7 some serious volatge is required. With a better board I could achieve that voltage.

it does not, here:

gtav_vhigh_cpu2.png

As you can see the CPU is the recommended for AMD since it's the best they have to offer...here you can see that chip running at a whooping 4.7ghz badly bottlenecking both the GTX 970 and R9 290 GPU an immense amount...and you can also see how bad the DX11 drivers for AMD GPU hammers the much more powerful intel CPU's...the GTX 970 does a lot better, and it's not because the 970 is a stronger GPU than the R9 290X, it's all driver efficiency related.

well my r9 270 is inferior to 290x or a 970 so i am good. Am I? If the i5 has 20fps increase would I have it too? Or is that 20fps because of bottlenecking 290x/970?

you will get as much FPS as your CPU will be able to push to your GPU...which according to the official benchmarks i've seen so far seem to be fluctuating between 30 and 50FPS depending on how hard the game hits the CPU at any given moment in the game.

The 8350 was bottlenecking the high-end cards as hell. My R9 270 wont be bottlenecked because its a much slower card. True?

And that benchmark is intresting. Have a look at the fps on this.
