I plan on building a computer for myself this month. This computer will be mostly used for gaming, some light video editing, and content creation. However, I have no idea how to use bios. I have built many computers before but I have only just installed the operating system but I have never used the bios intensively. If there is any way for you guys to link some videos or tutorial logs to assist me on my journey to conquer BIOS I would be very greatful. :)  :P  ;)

What exactly are you intending to do in the BIOS?

Most motherboards (especially gaming ones) come with a UEFI bios, so you can use your mouse just like it's a little OS.

One does not need to learn the "BIOS" (especially being every motherboard has a different one)

Scrapyard Build Total Cost: $268AUD

C2Q E8200 | 4 x 1gb DDR2 | GA-EP45-DS3 r1 | Gammax 200 | 320gb 2.5" | 7870LE PCS | Litepower 500w | CISCO Aironet 350

Overclocking. Setting Up drives in raid, fan controlling, make partitions and deviating caches.

Some of this stuff can't be done inside a BIOS i.e. a lot dont support the partitioning of drives/etc.

Manual and self testing is best way to learn out BIOS. Since every model has bit different features and layout and naming differs between manufacturers, creating such overall guides would still leave blanks. Now, for OC you can find guides for Gigabyte (OC3D) and Asus (LTT). You can adapt those on MSI, AsRock and EVGA. For some settings you will need to google the right names for them.

The RAID is usually very well described in mobo manual. If you feel like you need more advanced help, head to storage subforum and ask about it there.
