when in doubt, i say go 750W, because room to grow.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

that's true too. plus the semi-modular really helps

I would go with a 750w PSU because then you could add a second card in SLI if you wanted and still be fine.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Why you shouldn't trust Gpu or Cpu boss Click on this I dare you!

See if you can get the EVGA G1 SuperNova 650W - lowest price fully modular gold PSU with a 10 year warranty that I've seen and they're really reliable to boot.

eeh, I'd argue against. http://www.overclock.net/t/1476935/why-you-should-not-buy-an-evga-supernova-nex650g-750g

they're different In physical design and share different part numbers. The G1 is also OEM'd by SuperFlower

Both the NEX650G/750G and Supernova 650/750 G1 are based on the same FSP Aurum platform. The newer G1 had the handle removed and all black cables/connectors. The 1000w G1 is based on a different platform though, which I suspect to be Aurum Pro.

The Super Flower units are the G2/P2/T2 and B2 units.

Anyways, since the OP's system has such a low power draw, the 650 G1 shouldn't have any problem powering it though. Whether it is the best option for him would depend on pricing of the unit at his location.

No. The NEX and G1 are both internally based on the FSP Aurum Gold. They only changed the exterior design and cabling with the G1.

Gonna have to go take that up with the EVGA rep as that's just absolutely not what we were told.

One word I wouldn't use for a cx600 is quality.

You must have missed the "happy medium between cheap" part.

Yes it's Aurum Pro

Yeah, I figure it is by looking through the fan grill and vents. There seem to be some modification done to it though, as the layout is somewhat different. I would like to have seen a review of it, instead of the multiple Leadex based EVGAs though.
