The Crew lag spikes

I've bought The Crew 2 weeks ago. The game lags every 30 seconds and drops my FPS to 14 for 2 seconds and than it gets back to 60. Does anyone know how to fix this issue.

his cpu is fine, its not the fastest but it should be able to handle that, maybe the game is just poorly optimized

The game works fine on my friends PC and his is weaker.

Not the CPU and not the game. My Phenom II X6 can run it perfectly fine with no lag spikes. Possibly your internet connection, as it is an online game. @ExidCuter

Yep, it's made by Ubisoft.

Are you using wifi? Try using a cable, @Aniallation may be right. Otherwise, try lowering graphics too full low. If that doesn't help, than it's just your ordinary Ubisoft 2013+ game

I'm using cable and the lag is the same on all of the settings.

Actually, The Crew is one of the Ubisoft games that's decently optimized. It's not based on Unity engine.
