DDR4 Systems

Guys, this summer, I want to start investing in a DDR4 system. But I don't know if it is the right season to think about buying DDR4 Dimms, Motherboards and CPUs. Because nowadays, they cost a lot of money and there is a small variety of CPUs and Motherboards. For example, there is only one kind of CPUs that support DDR4 Memories and is the CPUs with 2011-3 Socket... and the result is that you can buy only motherboards with the specific sokcet. In conclusion, I don't know when I should start and spend my money in a system with DDR4 Memory and I want to tell me when I can make thoughts about it and start make it happen.

got to say best decision I ever made, my i7 5820k and 16gb of DDR4 serve me very well. IMO definitely worth the little extra cash

If youlive close to a Micro Center, they have 5820k+mobo bundles starting at $450.

You might go for the last generation if your needs arent too great. X79 + DDR3. Probably not.. but.. just an idea.

I've already own a next-gen PC with DDR3 but I think that in a year, DDR3 Memories will get "older" and our main choice will be DDR4 RAMs.

You could wait for skylake and socket 1151, that should support DDR4, should be out somewhere after summer.

Nah, it's confirmed 2nd half of 2015, and I wouldn't trust what they said on that particular WAN show

Wait for intel skylake and the z100 series chipsets and ddr4 ddr3 wont go away in a night it will go away in like 2-3 years
