Upgrading to a D610

Hi guys, I currently have  d3300 with a 35mm 1.8, Sigma 10-20 4-5.6 and 18-55

I really want to upgrade, the main reason is workflow, sensor performance and lens support.

(a dollar is about 3.8 shekels)

I currently have 4500 shekels and the 610 costs 5600, if i make around 2000 shekels more and sell my D3300 and my 35 1.8 i will have around 8200, which should be enough to buy myself a D610 and a Sigma 35 1.4.

What do you think? Should I do the transition to FF?

Thanks

No. Please don't do this.
I did this myself (from d5100 -> d600)

You NEED GLASS with your body. You will miss having a wide angle, you will miss having a zoom. Honestly without the glass it's not worth it.

well either or not most of the glass he has right now won't be any use if he got a FF.

A lot of stuff, I decided I will keep my Sigma 10-20 at least for a bit.

Im going to capture mainly portraits, parties and random stuff.

I really like the 35mm range and the Sigma one will probably be perfect for me.

35mm isn't long enough for portraits especially not on a 35mm camera.

Full frame is definitely worth it, but you need FF glass to get the best out of it, its worth looking into your plans for glass before upgrading

gotta agree with this. glass is more important than your camera body. personally, i wouldnt upgrade to a d610, i'd just upgrade to a d750. but that's my personal preference.

35 on your 3300 is basically a 50mm, so, when on a full frame, its actually 35, much wider, much less zoom. So, you may want to check into that.

If you love your nikon 35 1.8, they have a 50 1.8 that, while not "super amazing glass" it's still decent, and pretty cheap to start with. I used one for awhile, and just didnt like the composure on my 5200.

maybe look into the nikon 70-200 F4, or third party versions so you can save some money but have a good lens for more things
