OK, so I want to change the stock fan that came with my 295x2 with a set of corsair fans in push pull, but I have a question. If I remove the fan from the card, is the card going to throw a bunch of errors because it has no fan hooked to it? I'll be running the new fans through a NZXT Grid+ so I can better control them. The card is in my folding rig, so if its just a minor alarm it's no biggy, but I just wanna know how the card will react if I unplug the fan from it and leave it unplugged. Will the card still work fine if I configure it this way?

It'll be fine (aka no weird errors). Just make sure NOT to buy corsair fans as they are nearly as bad as stock fans. I suggest noiseblocker, enermax, be quiet or noctua fans.

Thanks, and i know that corsair fans arent the best out there, but they fit in my budget, and they should work fine for me right now, no problem

But if you have suggestions, for cheaper, and better performing fans, by all means suggest them, please!

As long as at least one of the fans is connected to the card, it shouldn't give any errors. Otherwise, it will work just fine, but of course you won't be able to fo fan control through the gpu.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Thats just it, neither of the fans will be connected to the card, they will both be running through my Grid+ fan hub

I doubt it will "complain" much, after all as long as the temperatures are fine it won't throttle. Think about this: fully watercooled gpus don't have any fans, and they don't need a custom bios or anything like that.

Right, i just wasnt sure if this card was special because it had the configuration it does. I think and hope it will be fine tho, shouldnt be anything too hard to figure out anyway.
