Earlier today my PC has started making a high pitch buzzing sound whenever i open a game, it sounds like it is coming from the GPU which would make sense. It still does it after restarting and i want to know what could be the cause of this and can i fix it? Here is an audio clip of the sound, when you can hear the buzz that is when i have opened a game and when you cant hear it that is when i have tabbed out. http://picosong.com/VUQ5/

Its called coil whine, it can be any part in your system that uses inductors.

sounds like it might be coil whine. Nothing you can really do about that.

I could be wrong, I had a 7870 make some weird sounds before catching on fire. I'll find the post I had about that on here in a sec.

Oh yeah, i forgot about coil whine.. I have had my GPU for over a year now and i thought it might have had something to do with it having pop spilled onto it a few months back. I take it there is no way to even make it quieter?
