unless its some custom made business program made exclusively for xp..I doubt they'd have a problem running it on 7 or 8

Are you looking to run a Virtual Machine or Dual Boot?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

VM doesn't support D3D acceleration, so no... you can't game on VM

stick with XP, if you still able to play on that os what would it make any difference by running different os.

I have a lot of games which are not compatible with xp or 32 bit... So there's no way to do it?

Before you try, have you looked to see if the manufacturer offers drivers for your hardware for Windows XP? I'd start there and if not, I don't think it's worth pursuing. Especially if there's missing network and GPU drivers. It's definitely possible, though.

I am looking dual boot.. I need XP for older games which are not compatible with windows 8.1.. Since my PC is not that good i doubt vm will run those games smoothly

Depending on which edition of Windows you're using, some support direct boot to VM. The last Intel boards to support XP is socket 1155.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy x360 BP series Intel 8th gen

AMD ThreadRipper 2!

5820K & 6800K 3-way SLI mobo support list
