The resovoir color seems a bit off. Its more cloudy then the rest of the build. It looks great, I guess I'm just a stickler for the way your presenting everything

In reality the difference isn't quite as striking as in the picture, but it's definitely there, same is true of the fans. The issue arises due to the different materials. Where as the metal either comes as a pure white, or can easily be painted white, all the "white" plastic is actually has a tinge of yellow. Little annoying but I'm working on a solution to cover up the fans, and hopefully when the coolant is in the res the difference won't be as pronounced... hopefully ;)

I'm curious as to how you painted the motherboard. Did you just have to unscrew the components, or was some masking tape involved? Also, what kind of paint are you using?

The parts I painted were easily removed by screws, I wouldn't have bothered if I had to mask the whole board; too messy!

Paint isn't anything fancy like automobile, it's just acrylic lacquer but it gets the job done so long as you're thorough and careful.

Chapter 6 - Acrylic Addition

Just a quick one with some pics of some acrylic work that was done which I've added to the base of the build to make it all look a bit sleeker.

This weekend I'll get everything set up and take some updated photos as a lot has been done in the last couple of weeks including some rad and fan grills, fitting installation, ghetto SSD mounting and plenty others.

Hope you enjoy :)

How did you attach the acrylic? Looks like screws but I'm gonna ask anyways. :)

Yep, just some anodized button head screws with nuts on the underside. Used the existing holes at the base of the Phenom and Prodigy which were originally used to mount the HDD cages. Same was done when bolting down the pump/res combo, but I had to actually drill those through the base of the case. :)

Chapter 7 - Rads installed

OK guys, a few more shots to more clearly show how everything has been installed. At this point all major hardware is installed and I only have to tube up and sort out the custom cables which will all be cut to length rather than using extensions due to the tight nature of the case.

I'm also considering repainting the outer parts of the case that are red to have them match the internals a bit more. I hadn't originally planned to have anything inside painted red so I wasn't too concerned about palette matching but I'm not sure anymore. What do you think? Are the two different tones of red ok or should the outside be painted brighter to match?

Furthermore, the fans on the inside have red LEDs, but I've left them very easy to turn on or off depending on the mood :P

Tubing still needs to be done as does the side panel (will be windowed, not sure about the far side at the moment). More updates soon!

A bit more tubing work.

Not entirely sure if I'll keep it like this, but I'm happy with it for the time being.

Yep, would be temporary while I get a matching black sparkle version. However, I've changed it to a right angle black sparkle fitting instead!

It's been way too long, and life's been way too busy (new job, new house). But I've finally found time to work on this build.

The loop is full, custom cables (bar one) have been cut and the modded side-panel is ready to go. I'm going away on holiday for the next few weeks, but anticipate having everything completed in a month.

Here's a little pic, I'll wait for completion before posting many more:

And a small teaser for my next build:

Chapter 8 - Finale

It's all done! Finally had some time to sit down and complete this bad boy. I'm really happy with the end result. A LOT of work, but I think it paid off. Here are some final pics below :)
