I would change that 4460 for a 4690k just to get a little extra boost and maybe some over clocking???? Its not that much more and other than that I would not change anything for that build..................

EDIT: Not sure if that chip set supports overclocking!

Yeah. But then you'd really want to go for a better motherboard...

Actually, you'd want to go with the 4440 unless you go with a Haswell Refresh board in the first place...

While if the budget isnt an issue that is a good advice, i have to say the current setup is pretty nice. How much would a 4690 on a h97 cost?

Yes, Z97 maybe? Sure you can get Z97 boards cheaper than that?

H97 does not support OCing i know that much! So then a 'K' series would be pointless

Sorry for the slightly delayed reply, I'm new here :)

Anyway, here's the build on PCpartspicker. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/7vYnrH

1) I want to play new releases for the next few years

2) I've already got a keyboard, mouse and headphones. Only one I need is a monitor which is included in the build.

3) $1500 AUD budget

4) Sydney, NSW

5) Preferably MSY as I have a retail store near me.

A gaming rig eh?  Drop the SSD and get the Antec PSU I picked out. Also that CM case I picked definitely is a gamer's case but I think you would have to like Transformers a bit to like it. As for the ram I found cheaper and ram is well just ram. There is nothing wrong with GeIL.You save over $100+ this way.  You also don't need an SSD for a gaming rig btw.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I really do love the look of the case you've picked. What does it have over the one I've got?

I think the psu he chose is good for the 970 and 4460. An ssd gives a much better experience vs a hdd only.

OP you got a good pc for your budget.

Thanks! So should I not change the processor? I don't plan to overlock anytime soon.

I think Antec is a better brand so I am allowed to recommend it.  I would trust Antec's low end stuff more than Corsair's.  In regards to an SSD I will just repeat that an SSD is not needed for a gaming pc and really adds no real benefit other than loading up cg movies and some other stuff quicker.

In regards to the case the one I picked was cheaper I believe and hey you said you like the look so there is that too.  That is what it has got over the other case you picked out. CM makes good cases so no reason to think you won't be happy with it.

Is IJK reliable? I can't seem to find the case at MSY or Umart.
