Supposedly this company is bringing a car to market for only $6,800 and the car will get around 84mpg. Granted it's only a 2 passenger vehicle, this still seems pretty awesome. The even have a preorder setup where you can give up to $1,000 for your car to get it sooner. And for a set amount of time you get %50 of your preorder added to what you put down.

If I was in a position to get a car, I think I would be inclined to lean towards this.

What do you all think?

Yeah, I've heard of them. I think it would be a great car for commuting to work (and I would love to have one for that), but only commuting to work. There is basically no storage space whatsoever, so forget taking this on a long trip, hauling anything with it, or doing any large shopping trips.

Also, it's technically a motorcyle. In some states you will be required to wear a helmet when driving it (or riding passenger). Plus you will need to have a motorcycle license.

Ive heard of them, this was actually gonna be my first car (well motorcycle by law) nearly two years ago but they never pulled through. Lots of false promises in regards to due dates, im not sure if they are gonna be able to actually pull it off.

oh dang, I had no clue that they had been around for so long. I'd really like to see this happen though, it would be amazing for a lot of people.
