So my room is heating up when I play games. I was wondering if water cooling with the G10 + CPU watercooler (or if you guys have cheap custom loop suggestions) would make the room's temperature lower. I currently have an i7-4790K with the h100i and 2-way SLI MSI GTX 970. As of the time of writing, CPU temp is avg 40-42C and GPU is 59C for the both of them.

Windows are already open. It typically gets hot in the afternoon/evening.

Your room would get hotter as more heat is dissipating into the air with watercooling.

Watercooling makes the CPU/GPU cooler as it transfers heat more effectively than just air.

By the laws of physics, the heat will be dispersed into the room, whether it is though liquid means, or air cooling means. Liquid cooling allows water to transfer the heat away from the source, allowing for less heat around the components and less fan speed and lower temps as a result. It also allows for fans to run lower because heat is being dispersed over a larger surface area and passively transmits heat into the air.

So no, liquid cooling will not 'cool down' your room,  nor will it reduce the amount of heat being introduced to your room. I suggest buying an actual fan for your room which does the trick for me.

Hope this helps :D

Try to get some cross ventilation from the outside to move the heat away, something like a few case fans in the window to bring in some fresh air will work well.

As Tonylu1595 said water cooling will make the room hotter since it's dissipating more heat with the larger rad.

How would watercooling make it hotter?

It really sounds like you need an airconditioner or a fan, a real fan to cool you down. I dont think you should change your system when your components are nice and cool.

1 Get a fan

2 Get aircondition

3 Use a wet turban with cold water :')

4 move your fridge in to compensate for your PC

The first or the second option will probably suit you best, good luck
