It has an Eco or silent mode until it needs to start ramping up and it's still fairly silent during that time.

However it is possible to replace a PSU but it requires some modifications since they use a 2 pin fan instead of a 3 pin fan.

nice that will be easy to replace the pin the third pin is just to send the rpm to the computer

Why? It's not like you'll hear it over your other fans under heavy load anyways

i think its louder then the other fans because of a costum watercooling loop

Yeah you would leave the RPM pin underpopulated in that case, you will need to either d a bit of cutting and soldering of the old fan connector onto the new one or need an adapter like this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7751/cab-130/3_Pin_to_2_Pin_Adapter_Cable_-_Type_D.html?tl=g47c251s634&id=A7GVaQgk

As the usual safety memo, when opening a PSU be sure to drain it by unplugging and pressing the power button a few times on the PC before removing and letting it sit for ~1hour before opening to ensure it has drained and when inside be aware of the contacts of the large capacitor.

if you replace your fan by opening your power supply you will void your warranty. I dont recommend it.

well i would miss the 10 yeat warranty but whatever
